how do i sign up?

We are a members-run grassroot organisation and our strength is in our numbers. We welcome members from all walks of life, so long as you live in rented housing. Before you make the decision to join us, we recommend you read our FAQ about membership. Then, simply click the button at the bottom of this page to go to our sign-up page and fill out the form.

The S.T.U. Guarantee

Southampton Tenants Union (STU) abides by the values of the International Cooperative Alliance. As a member-owned and member-led cooperative, we require all new members to read through and agree to the STU Guarantee linked below.

membership dues

Finally, as with all unions, STU relies on membership dues to maintain our independence and fund activities, tenant support, and campaigning. The membership fee (flexible and geared to income, starting at £1 a month) gives all members an ownership stake in the union and is one of the ways members support the union’s work.
