Connecting people and organisations locally, to tackle homelessness in Southampton. A great resource if you are struggling financially, need advice and support.

No Limits offer free information, advice and help around mental health, housing and homelessness, sexual health, substance use, money, or anything else, to children & young people under the age of 26 in Southampton and Hampshire.

CLEAR offers advice, information and guidance for refugees and asylum seekers. CLEAR runs ESOL classes  and their employment service provides support to clients with their job search process.

SCRATCH provides services which relieve the effects of hardship, disadvantage and poverty for individuals and families living in Southampton and the surrounding area. Access to support is available by referral only, through a social worker, GP, health visitor, housing association, local housing office, school or a similar organisation. 

SCM delivers the Basics Bank project from six locations across the area, helping some of the most deprived families and individuals with very basic necessities, (food and clothing).

YMCA Southampton provides safe, secure and comfortable supported housing for 16-21 year olds across a number of settings across the city.

Independent charity providing free, confidential and impartial advice if you have money, benefit, housing or employment problems.

SVS is the umbrella body for local voluntary and community groups working in Southampton. We provide a wide range of services including specialist support, advice and training to our membership.

Outreach to people who are sleeping rough, supported accommodation, day centres, community support, Housing First, mental health support and landlord support services.

tenANT UNIONS

The London Renters Union has branches in Newham and Leytonstone, Hackney, and Lewisham and groups in Tower Hamlets, Brent, Haringey, Camden and Wandsworth. It is aiming to become a city-wide union with branches all over the city.

Peterborough Tenants Union cover all the postcodes which start with PE1, PE2, PE3... and so on, up to PE9. This is quite a large area and includes not just Peterborough, but Yaxley, Stamford, Whittlesey, Castor, and a large number of smaller villages. They fight to ensure people who rent are protected, and private and social rented accommodation is suitable and fit for purpose.

ACORN is a mass membership organisation and network of low-income people with branches across the country organising for a fairer deal for our communities left behind by companies, councils and parliament. They have branches in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol, Cardiff, Leeds, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, York, Bradford, Huddersfield, Sheffield, Nottingham, Coventry, Cambridge, Norwich, Oxford, Swindon, Brighton, and Falmouth.

Brighton SolFed is an independent union based on the idea that through solidarity and direct action, ordinary people have the power to improve our lives - and ultimately create a new society. Within that, Brighton Solidarity Federation Housing Union is a group of people working together to improve living conditions in the here and now.

Greater Manchester Tenants Union is a democratic, member-led union, working across the 10 boroughs of Greater Manchester. They organise and represent members in the private and social rented sector and fight for safe, secure and affordable housing for everyone.
